Materials and Craftsmanship
Professional-grade bats start with professional-grade materials. That's why we use only one grade of wood: the highest grade (premium) from logs that are split top to bottom to insure that you get the straight grain needed for solid contact and strength to lower the risk of a break. The wood we get in for our pros is the same wood we get in for our amateurs. Admittedly, we're not sure how you can make a quality bat otherwise. Regardless of whether you choose to add the ink-dot to your baseball bat, as we are required to do on our pro-players' maple and birch bats, your bat will still follow the pro-approval requirements and regulations required for every wood bat crafted for the past 20 years.
To insure consistency, all Phoenix bats are spun and sanded on the most advanced bat-making machine in the world. If you love your initial bat, our manufacturing process creates that same look and feel — every time. It is that precise. Couple premium grade wood with untouchable consistency in replication and good things happen (except to the baseball, which takes a beating).
The final flourish is personalization to make it your bat.
