Description

About The SB7 Wood Softball Bat:

TThe SB7 is our newest wood softball bat. It's a great choice for the player who likes to add a little bit of a flare to the handle of their bat, but doesn't want as big a flare as our SB73.
Coming in at a -5 length to weight ratio, it falls in the class of our lightest softball bats. For the transition from a metal bat softball play to wood bat softball play, this is a great place to start.
Similar to the SB3, the discernible difference is in the transition from the handle in to the knob. The SB3 has a very traditional, straight transition. The SB73 is at the other end of the the spectrum -- a large flare in to the knob for those who would have gone tape happy on their metal softball bat. The SB7 fits right in between.

All Phoenix Bats wood softball bats meet ASA standards for wood softball bats (see Rule 3), with a max 2-1/4” barrel diameter. To keep the umpire happy, we mark them with “Official Softball” and "ASA Compliant".

Typical user:

  • Softball player new to wood bat softball
  • Contact hitter
  • Player wanting light bat with flared knob

SB7 Wood Softball Bat Stats:

  • Barrel: 2-1/4" slightly end weighted barrel
  • Handle: 1" thick handle
  • Knob: 1" standard handle with flare into traditional knob
  • Weight: -5 drop (length - 5 = weight)

    SB7 Softball bats

Fast delivery very nice looking bat. Hit a few balls off the tee . Ball jumping of the bat very well. Bat handle a little thick could be a little more balanced for me i like a thinner handle so i could put a lizard skin bat grip and bat could be a little lighter it weighs 29 oz i like 28 / 27 oz but overall not bad. Bat is definitely well constructed have not used it in a game yet looking forward to it

    Adapting from Aluminum to Wood

Published by William Martens on Thursday April 22nd 2021 12:18:18 PM

Solid Contact. Power comes with patience. It’s a beautiful piece of lumber. It’s almost a shame to hit with it. That being said, contact is important. Power comes right after. Beautifully balanced to help with the conversion from aluminum bats to wood. I struggled until I found this bat. Customized to my specifics, color, gloss, style. A++’s across the board. I look forward to every at-bat. Thank You Phoenix!
