Full Product Overview
The AP5 professional player wood baseball bat is modeled after a copy of the bat swung by one of the Angels' power hitters. It is considered a relatively well-balanced power hitter's bat.
Similar to Phoenix's NP13 Popular Game Bat model but with a slightly longer barrel, the AP5 wood bat transitions in to a medium diameter handle.
Coupled with a moderate flare from the AP5's handle in to the knob (similar to that on our BB71), you get some reasonable balance throughout this wooden bat.
AP5 Wood Bat Stats:
Barrel: 2-1/2" average diameter, pretty balanced with longer hitting area
Handle: 1" thicker diameter
Knob: decent size flare from handle, with enough knob to catch hand
Weight: -2 drop (length - drop = weight in ounces)
Nice balance and bat speed for a power hitter's bat
Competitor comparison model: AP5
Power hitter willing to give up a tad of barrel diameter for more balance and bat speed.
If like a flared knob, the bigger handed player will like the feel and added durability.
Due to the more limited availability of the wood billets (the tubes of wood we make bats from) to make this bat, we are unable to offer the Phoenix Money Back Guarantee on the AP5 wooden bat.
No matter which Phoenix wood baseball bat you go with, our belief is simple: every player, at every level...not just our pros...deserves a quality wood bat.
