B455 Wood Baseball Bat Description

You’re the team power producer. You like the big barreled wood bats, but don’t want the end-loaded weight that the V243 offers.  You turn to the NP13 for additional bat speed, but you’re not a big fan of the medium flared handle.  What bat do you go with when you want “jack-it-out-of-the-park” power and the ability to “grip-it and rip-it?" How about the bat that was designed to fit in between these two power bats—the B455 Professional Series wood baseball bat.

This bat was designed to shift the weight a little further down the barrel and have a more traditional handle (the same one as on the JK5). It’s the same wood bat that one of our long term pro player uses on the job every day—Billy Butler, a power hitting young slugger for Kansas City.

B455 Professional Series wood bat stats:

2-17/32" barrel
15/16" handle, slightly flared in to the knob
-2 maple and -3 in ash
A good fit between the NP13 and the V243

Typical user:

The power hitter who wants more bat speed and a traditional handle

Remember, if you tend to get jammed, go with a maple bat. If you tend to take balls off the barrel end, consider an ash bat. Hit the sweet spot consistently? Then go with the maple bat and take the extra distance it delivers. We figure on average the difference delivered by a maple bat over an ash bat is about 10-15 feet.
