H73 Wood Baseball Bat Description

Looking for a wood bat that has a big ‘ole flared knob? Are you a contact hitter? Then the H73 Professional Series wood baseball bat is the one bat for you. This wood baseball bat has the smallest barrel and  the largest flared knob of any of the Phoenix Bats pro series wood bats. The large flare at the base of the handle in to the knob acts as a great counter balance to the barrel, making it a very well balanced bat. The H73 was extremely popular a few years ago, as players at every level said it just felt really comfortable to swing, feeling like a lighter wood bat than it’s stats show the H73 to be.

Remember, if you tend to get jammed, go with a maple bat. If you tend to take balls off the barrel end, consider an ash bat. Hit the sweet spot consistently? Then go with the maple bat and take the extra distance it delivers. We figure on average the difference is 10-15 feet greater from a maple bat versus an ash bat.
