If you prefer a big ‘ole flared knob on your wood softball bat, the SB73 is the bat for you! Think of the SB73 as our SB3 wood softball bat, just with a big flared knob (the largest flare we offer on a softball bat). The long barrel is counter-balanced by the knob, giving the bat nice weight distribution. This means more power for you to rip the SB73 through the strike zone.

At -4 (the difference between the length and weight of the bat—ex. a 34” SB73 weighs 30 ounces), it falls in between our lightest and heaviest wood softball bats.

All Phoenix Bats wood softball bats meet ASA standards for wood softball bats, with a max 2-1/4” barrel diameter. To keep the umpire happy, we mark them with “Official Softball”.
