The SB4 is Phoenix’s most balanced wood softball bat, making it very versatile and another good choice for team use. This bat is a little heavier than our most popular SB3 wood softball bat, coming in at a -4 (the difference in length to weight—ex. a 34” SB4 weighs 31 ounces).   But, due to the weight distribution, it’s easy to swing. It also features a thicker handle with a gentle flare in to a traditional knob. Like our R141 wood baseball bat, it’s all things to all people bat; no one should dislike it.

All Phoenix Bats wood softball bats meet ASA standards for wood softball bats, with a max 2-1/4” barrel diameter. To keep the umpire happy, we mark them with “Official Softball”.
